The Remnants, in full
I showed a snippet back in October, but here is the full web pilot I shot during the strike. If you click through to Vimeo, you can see it in full-screen HD.1
For the past few months, the pilot has been shopped around to advertisers and other possible sponsors, but given the economy and my schedule, it’s looking unlikely that a confluence of money and time will lead us to shoot more. So I wanted to let people see it, particularly because it features some actors who should be on more lists. Including Ze Frank, who is now an Angeleno.
The web series business model has proved tough for everyone to figure out. Yes, Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible was fantastic, but even that couldn’t get the ad sponsors it should have. Selling through iTunes is an option for someone with Whedon’s name brand, but I don’t see it working for The Remnants, even given the recognizability of some of the cast members.
I retained rights to do other things with The Remnants, so I certainly may come back to it at some point in some other form.
The proposed Seth Rogan/Jay Baruchel comedy Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse seems kind of similar, but the What Actually Happened is a lot different. Had Chas and Norman successfully gotten their Wii hooked up and powered, they would have realized many of their assumptions about the end of civilization were wrong.
- Click the zoom-out arrows in the bottom right corner. It’s only HD if you’re watching it on Vimeo, not the embedded version. ↩

An apocalypse comedy? Sweet!
I want a Helvetica t-shirt now.
January 8th, 2009 at 10:55 am
I want so much more of this.
January 8th, 2009 at 11:07 am
wow, hope this somehow gets resurrected.
January 8th, 2009 at 11:09 am
That’s a really nice concept, I’d love to see more. And I definitely need to get one of those Helvetica t-shirts, too …
January 8th, 2009 at 11:11 am
The Helvetica t-shirt was custom made by our costumer, Molly Grundman. But I suspect it wouldn’t be hard to make your own.
January 8th, 2009 at 11:28 am
I hope you get to continue this. The cast is fantastic!
Any chance you’d be willing to discuss the production? What was the budget? How many shooting days? What format did you shoot on? What is the SAG internet agreement?
Thanks again for this site, btw!
January 8th, 2009 at 11:42 am
That’s awesome, I’m sorry nothing became of it…yet Hopefully it will help get Ze and others some attention.
January 8th, 2009 at 11:51 am
I’m so disappointed this isn’t going to be a full series. I loved the clips back in October and had been talking to people in my office about this series just the other day.
Here’s hoping some suit somewhere changes their mind about The Remnants
January 8th, 2009 at 12:18 pm
“You guys have been free pooping!”
Pure genius.
January 8th, 2009 at 12:20 pm
I love the “We / Wii”-joke. We have a similar gag in class. One of my fellow students figured something out about a dead line and shouted out a long “Wiiiiiiieeee?” (in English “What?”)
January 8th, 2009 at 1:10 pm
Hilarious, but for realism I’ve got to give you a 0. No super-mutants? No ghouls? No Yao Guai?!
Mostly I’m just pissed because I don’t get to hear more about the whole Grand Canyon thing.
January 8th, 2009 at 1:35 pm
Loved it. The gradual reveal in that first scene, with the dip down to the gun in the trousers and “Remember eBay?” was great. Taking the time to do the fence-hopping gags is much appreciated.
There are surely other ways to keep the embers on this warm. Do a few webcomics to let the characters seep out into the geek community, maybe.
Is there any improvising going on with the cast there? You got across a lot of rapport in very little time.
January 8th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
Great job. Maybe enter it into some film festivals so it can have a life. I’d also like to read about the actual production. How many days, how long, budget, directing, etc. Thanks
January 8th, 2009 at 2:35 pm
@Will:
There is some improvising. You can see the whole script in the Library.
January 8th, 2009 at 3:07 pm
Loved it.
January 8th, 2009 at 4:37 pm
Great job. But the prospect of this just sitting for this long is so depressing. Hopefully enough hits here will do the trick, so pass the word, folks.
January 8th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
I like it a lot. I am wondering if you got any money for putting a Pringles commercial in there? Or what is the legal deal with having brand logos in a show? Is it any different for a lower budget, lower key show than, say, mainstream TV crap like CSI?
January 8th, 2009 at 5:51 pm
@Farley:
The Pringles were just to have a recognizable piece of culture, but the idea was certainly that a brand (or collection of brands) might want to be in that place.
Because don’t you sort of want to eat Pringles after watching this?
January 8th, 2009 at 6:45 pm
I absolutely loved this and would very happily eat truckloads of Pringles if it meant we get to see more. (So get onboard sponsors!)
I’d have to say that The Remnants and Dr Horrible are two of the most entertaining things I’ve watched recently and yet neither project was blessed by helpful notes from a studio. How very, very strange…
January 8th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
Nice. And taking into account the global reach of the internet, how valuable such penetration would be to those ubiquitous worldwide brands? I’m guess it would be a big deal. I wonder if the idea did not involve, at one point, to have a world famous A (or A minus) lister to pop in for a cameo. (Perhaps even holding the brand of choice. How would you like that with your fries, mister food conglomerate?)
January 8th, 2009 at 6:59 pm
meant to say ‘my guess’ (not I’m guess) — darn the editor
January 8th, 2009 at 7:21 pm
I thoroughly enjoyed this and am happy to finally see it in full after being teased back in October. Also I’ve loved Amanda Walsh since I was a teenager… so she helps!
An FYI: Helvetica shirts are definitely available just like the one seen in the episode. I’ve seen them in Germany where typeface nerds roam freely. After seeing the Helvetica documentary, it pops out everywhere.
January 9th, 2009 at 2:26 am
About the only criticism I had was the explicit “What with the collapse of civilisation” line – it was much more fun gradually having the point made.
I loved it, want more, although part of me wonders how a series would deal with the inevitable reveal of “them” – would it be able to keep the cheerful low-budget feel, or would it have to change? Pity it looks like we won’t be able to find out, one way or the other…
January 9th, 2009 at 6:04 am
Why isn’t this on HBO now!? This is great?
January 9th, 2009 at 8:30 am
John, I totally enjoyed the full ep. and was oddly wondering about it maybe a week ago. So releasing this now was a great piece of synchronicity for me. I wonder if using something like eventful would be a good gauge of demand, or bargaining chip with a studio for this type of thing?
January 9th, 2009 at 8:31 am
I thought it was good but lacked a strong push in any specific direction. I wasn’t sure if the comedic angle would be it’s strong point, or the mystery of what happened, or the relationships between the people. I think it just needs more time and episodes to develop and hopefully that eventually happens.
Somewhat reminded me of http://www.iamnotinfected.com which is a spoof on a sort of post apocalyptic LA infested with zombies. It also started slow but has become very entertaining. Interestingly they don’t have any big sponsors. I definitely recommend it.
January 9th, 2009 at 10:24 am
That was so satisfying. Most webshows I can’t stand for more than a couple of minutes. That had me drawn in the whole time. What the hell happened at the Grand Canyon?!!
January 9th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
Just to give a heads up to anyone interested — I do a weekly online video review at NewTeeVee Station, and this week I covered “The Remnants.”
http://newteevee.com/2009/01/09/more-of-john-augusts-remnants-please/
Apologies to John and everyone else involved if I’ve made any factual errors; it was a last minute decision for me to write about this rather than another piece, so there wasn’t time to hit you up for an interview. My editor and I actually crossed emails yesterday afternoon — I got her “I think you should write about ‘The Remnants’ this week instead” just as she was getting my, “I think I should write about ‘The Remnants’ this week instead.” So it was a race to the finish for me to file the review in time for morning publication.
Hope you enjoy it. All of us at NTVS loved the pilot.
January 9th, 2009 at 4:01 pm
More please! This is fantastic. I want to at least read if I can’t see more about this world that’s been created.
January 9th, 2009 at 6:02 pm
I didn’t get it. The camera movements were annoying.
January 9th, 2009 at 9:00 pm
I thought I’d let you learn from my own rat experience John:

January 9th, 2009 at 9:59 pm
This show was good. Captured interest, made me laugh. I would definitely love to see more, so I say everyone go out and buy Pringles to jumpstart the economy.
January 9th, 2009 at 10:07 pm
I think I actually did eat Pringles after watching this. So there ya go. Also, yeah, if Pringles gave you money and that allowed you to make more that would be brilliant.
January 10th, 2009 at 2:32 am
Honestly, it’s not just that I would enjoy zoning out in front of some more mildly entertaining episodes. I’m a sucker for your story. You totally have me hooked.
The great production values helped. The acting in particular was top notch — that moment that Chaz smiles at Ze before the ‘free pooping’ line — and the writing too.
Have you guys considered something like Coudal Partners has been doing with micro-producers? (Set up a Paypal, give us sneak peeks and freebies, put our names in the credits, and even let the big donors have some creative input.)
Really, more please.
January 10th, 2009 at 5:43 am
I am going to buy some pringles right after I post this message. And (another) Wii. And some batteries to put in my fridge (but you didn’t state a brand, are Energizer OK?)
Now, get Ze back in front of the camera and make him tell me what the fudge is up with the Grand gawdurn Canyon!
Ohhh, almost forgot the Vienna Sausages! Armour, are you listening? Sponsor this show already.
January 10th, 2009 at 6:03 am
Once you pop you can´t stop! I want more of this and, yes, I´d like a Helvetica shirt as well.
January 10th, 2009 at 6:31 am
Most brilliant , fresh, great idea iv seen in a years. Please continue with this series
January 10th, 2009 at 7:04 am
well I’m in for $40 for a whole season. who’s with me?
January 10th, 2009 at 8:16 am
Fantastic, why is this series not being made RIGHT NOW! This is a Tier 2 series easily, beats the shit out of most competition.
January 10th, 2009 at 11:34 am
I would like to see where it goes very much. Hope funding is found to keep it going.
Yes. I do want Pringles now. They owe you.
January 10th, 2009 at 12:55 pm
This is fantastic – an excellent representation of the next phase of television. It would be a shame to have to look back on this and think, “We did it before those guys…”
I hope the economy and your schedule do not prevent production of future episodes, this could truly be a successful endeavor.
January 10th, 2009 at 6:27 pm
AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
MORE!!! THERE HAS TO BE MORE!!!!
How can I watch that and there not be more??? This is worse than the koo koo roo story!
I’ll see Stefan’s $40 and raise it $10.
January 11th, 2009 at 6:49 am
This is just awesome!! Make it!!!
Have you never tied a girl to a chair before?
January 12th, 2009 at 3:33 am
I would be willing to sponsor this. $40 seems appropriate.
January 12th, 2009 at 5:25 am
hope this is not the end…
great show!
January 12th, 2009 at 11:14 am
please explain the over abundance of re-run marathons (episodes of law and order from 2000?) and this hasn’t been picked up? i was hooked in the first few seconds. brilliant casting!
January 12th, 2009 at 11:16 am
this is really really good.
January 13th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
That was excellent.
January 13th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
I’d never realized until now how much Ze reminds me of Hugh Laurie as Dr. House before this.
January 13th, 2009 at 3:01 pm
More, more more! This is great, and I would absolutely pay to see a bunch of them.
January 13th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
Oh, so you’re just going to cut us off at the knees on the whole Grand Canyon thing, are you?
(Great acting all around in this. More would offer a welcome escape from the looming Depression, you know.)
January 13th, 2009 at 5:13 pm
Maybe I’m missing something. But the writing on this isn’t at all up to the standards that the host of this site espouses. I found it sophomoric, thin and derivative.
January 13th, 2009 at 6:26 pm
I would watch this. I would buy the DVD box set. I might even go to RemnantCon.
Somebody pick this up as a show, please!
January 13th, 2009 at 7:04 pm
Hey everyone! Let’s show how much we want to see The Remnants become a series.
Let ‘em know that you’d be willing to pay for quality content.
Tell your friends on twitter, facebook, on the street, where ever…
Draft the Remnants!
January 13th, 2009 at 7:39 pm
Great stuff… (I know I’m not offering anything new and constructive, but the only way an advertiser would be interested in this is if there was already an audience.) Honestly, there have been some decent web shows out there, there really needs to be an outlet for them.
I take it Nintendo wasn’t interested in some sort of deal?
January 13th, 2009 at 7:47 pm
I’d watch. A few very honest thoughts:
1) I liked Jericho. This seems like a funny Jericho (post-apocolyptic life). I think there’s something to that as an idea to explore. Clearly, Jericho got popular. Apparently not popular enough for some people, but there’s gotta be a business model there somewhere.
2) If this was the only pilot shopped around, the production values seemed a little herky-jerky. It didn’t hurt the story so much, but I was thinking about it. I’m not a entertainment pro, so I don’t know if this is normal for this type of thing.
3) Thought the “chase scene” was not very interesting.
4) If the apocolyptic cause was something sci-fi (like giant lizards or something), I would have a very hard time watching the rest of the show. (versus something believable like a natural disaster, global climate or nukes of some sort) Actually, I’d probably still stick it out since I’m a fan of Ze’s work. I find him very compelling for reasons I’ve yet to put my finger on.
5) I thought all the acting was very good.
6) Maybe starting with the poop jokes (I appreciated them) wasn’t best for the pilot.
What do I know? I’m just some uncommon geek on the Internet…
January 13th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
I have not read this blog before, but I was led here by John Gruber of Daring Fireball, and I just wanted to say that I loved The Remnants, and I hope to see more of it. This is definitely the kind of show that should be on TV rather than most of the schlock that’s out there right now.
January 13th, 2009 at 9:26 pm
Hey, did someone say Helvetica T-shirts?
http://www.helveticatheshirt.com
January 13th, 2009 at 11:55 pm
Ugh… more caucasian hipster yuppie “humor”
January 14th, 2009 at 12:32 am
Rock on. I hope you get the chance to do more with this. I know a lot of folks who would love to watch it!
January 14th, 2009 at 2:12 am
this is the best thing i have seen. the idea that i might not ever see another episode hurts my soul. this should be on tv.
January 14th, 2009 at 4:56 am
Yikes! Quite a juxtaposition watching this (really great BTW) while in the middle of reading Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road”.
January 14th, 2009 at 6:15 am
Awesome show!
If this were to make it I think it would quickly become my favorite show. I really enjoyed the pilot and it left me wanting to watch many more episodes.
The characters (and actors) were great and the grand canyon/flash back thing left quite a bit of mystery and a feeling that something much bigger was lurking just under the surface. The fact that nobody knows exactly what caused the apocalypse is a great touch as well.
Good luck in finding a home for this, I’ll be watching to jump on board if you do.
January 14th, 2009 at 6:37 am
Same as Josh (#57), I got here through Daring Fireball, and loved what I saw! Sweet script, good acting.. free ;) I liked your work a lot, wish you good luck and hope to see more soon! Thanks
January 14th, 2009 at 7:29 am
The product sponsorship idea is great. In that situation, everyone would constantly be stoked on the products they found. Event toilet paper would be an awesome find.
January 14th, 2009 at 7:34 am
My only complaint is that I’m now thoroughly sucked into a story which I have no way to continue discovering. Really hoping you can find a way to continue this.
January 14th, 2009 at 7:36 am
Add me to the list of those who would watch this — web, TV — keep us informed as interest is there!
January 14th, 2009 at 7:55 am
I
want
more.
But can you keep the writing and the plot interesting without getting too bizarre or giving too much away too quickly? How many seasons could you go before jumping the shark?
Do they know for sure that the apocalypse has happened?
T
January 14th, 2009 at 8:02 am
Who are the actors? Besides Ze. Recognize some faces. Don’t know names.
January 14th, 2009 at 8:04 am
This is really, really strong! Can I post a link on our site, campfirenyc.com? Love the implicit storytelling, how the background of what’s going on unfolds through the piece. Congratulations, this should get sold as a series!
January 14th, 2009 at 8:17 am
This is wonderful! You must do more!
January 14th, 2009 at 8:32 am
i’d buy a season on DVD.
January 14th, 2009 at 8:44 am
“Have you never tied a girl to a chair before?” is the best line ever!
January 14th, 2009 at 9:15 am
This is really fantastic!
January 14th, 2009 at 9:17 am
Was pointed here from John Gruber, and I am so glad that he did What an amzing cast – really want more!
I too love the bit about the texture of the fridge…
January 14th, 2009 at 10:34 am
Great pilot, lots of interesting plot hooks that i want to see followed further. I’ll bet you’d do pretty well through the itunes store, there are a lot of people who remember Ze’s show alone.
January 14th, 2009 at 10:59 am
wow. thanks for sharing that.
genuinely funny, genuinely entertaining, definitely screaming for a full season of episodes.
January 14th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
That was great! If you don’t know Star Wreck(starwreck.com) already, check it out. There might be something in their model that could help. Basically they fundend it by themselfs and by volunteering but ended up with a business and nice profits(from merchandise and dvds), even the movie was released free on the internet.
January 14th, 2009 at 12:44 pm
Absolutely amazing short. I’ve watched it 3 times already. It’s amazing how well you integrated the backstory into the script, and established a bigger mystery within in just 11 minutes. I really want to know what the Grand Canyon is all about. This already seems more well thought out than Lost, which became much too meandering and ridiculous.
I am actually sad that this will (probably) not be a series, and I don’t even have cable or watch broadcast tv.
January 14th, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Great show. In terms of the business model, I wonder if this would work:
Publicly post a cost estimate for producing season 1 and a deadline for raising the money;
Accept discounted pre-orders from potential viewers for copies of season 1;
Continue to pursue large corporate-style sponsorships;
Publicly post an ongoing total of money raised vs. money needed;
If you meet the cost estimate within the deadline, produce season 1 and fulfill the pre-orders. Then you could sell additional copies of season 1 to anyone else at a higher-than-pre-order price;
If you don’t meet the cost estimate within the deadline, refund the pre-orders and sponsors;
Best of luck.
January 14th, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Ze Frank just looks out of place in Los Angeles.
January 14th, 2009 at 3:01 pm
Go for it! It sucks to say that just because you’re not Joss Whedon, you won’t try the iTunes thing. People are so ready for some apocalyptic humor.
January 14th, 2009 at 5:28 pm
i don’t get it. sorry.
January 14th, 2009 at 7:26 pm
worst part of a economic downturn – we now get to see the good stuff that is being dropped, rather than suffering the pap that get taken!
January 14th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
This was some of the best television I have seen in a while. I would turn on my set for this. Intelligent, humorous, playful, hooked on wanting to know Grand Canyon story, and so much more.
January 14th, 2009 at 9:09 pm
i’ve never read this site before, just discovered thanks to gruber. great site, and great pilot. hope find sponsors for it. i guess i’m gonna be a regular of this site from now on. oh, and i want a garamond t-shirt.
January 14th, 2009 at 10:26 pm
man. bummer on the lack of funding. any possibility of fans donating and or some fan loan site or something? i could see that possibly working..
January 15th, 2009 at 7:51 am
Please, please, please make more episodes. So good.
January 15th, 2009 at 9:11 am
Get that sumbitch on Itunes NOW!. Let the public decide.
January 15th, 2009 at 3:44 pm
“I would love a Helvetica shirt but I can’t afford it. Anyone know where I can get an Arial shirt?”
January 15th, 2009 at 7:17 pm
This would be a perfect web series. There’s no way a station would pick this up–it’s too smart. Oh sure, SciFi or MTV might pick it up for a season and f$%^ it up, but this thing screams “The Guild” or “Dr. Horrible” (while also seeming to be the best parts of Lost somehow?). Fuck it. Make episodes. Go bankrupt. Find sponsors. I want to watch this.
January 16th, 2009 at 12:04 am
I thought the dragged-out chase scene with the struggles to get over the fences was brilliant. At first I thought it was a one-off at the gate, and then I realized that no, short of being a trained martial artist or a gymnast or something like that, you’re not going to be able to hop over every fence you see. Really drove home the realism for me. I love it. Want more! :-)
January 16th, 2009 at 8:23 am
What was the budget for this and how big was the crew?
January 16th, 2009 at 8:27 am
Julia Gulia — Fans donating? Are you seriously that hard up to throw away cash? Jesus…..couldn’t you find a more worthwhile cause– like a charity to free children being beaten and imprisoned in Zimbabwe or something? I get that you like the episode, but why on hell would you want to throw your money at some stupid webshow made by a guy that makes 10 times as much as you probably ever will. Get your priorities straight sister. .
January 17th, 2009 at 8:04 pm
Why can’t this be made? Why is regular tv always putting on so much crap, yet not into brilliant ideas like this? It makes no sense!
January 19th, 2009 at 9:38 am
This was fabulous! :D
January 19th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
lol@amanda walsh. never seen that former much vj in anything else and shes a good cast.
I hope it continues
January 19th, 2009 at 6:33 pm
too good to abandon…
January 19th, 2009 at 8:12 pm
Great pilot. Wish it was made. I’d pay money to see this on a regular basis.
January 19th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
I enjoyed that very much. Many great bits. I liked how mundane and normal it all seemed. Even the guns and other survival related stuff were just everyday things. And, I have to say, Ze Frank never caught on with me until I saw this. I will go back and look at his stuff again.
I would certainly pay for episodes of this on itunes or XBOX Live Marketplace.
January 20th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
More.
January 20th, 2009 at 10:51 pm
LOVE IT. i for one would buy this or watch it. really hope this gets off the ground in one form or another.
January 21st, 2009 at 8:04 am
well I’m in $40 for a whole season. who’s with me?
I am! Let’s see, that makes…uh…$130 pledged so far. :-)
Seriously, I would pre-pay for this series to be made. I’m just not sure how to set up that financing model. Paypal? Amazon? ..bruce..
January 21st, 2009 at 10:15 am
That was awesome! I would love to see this continue. You’ve got another fan.
January 21st, 2009 at 12:51 pm
MAKE THIS SHOW!!! I SO want Ze Frank to get in front of a camera since “The Show” went bye-bye. And he’s GOOD as an actor! Looks kind of like Alan Tudyk’s low-key brother. Definitely would pay for a subscription to this on iTunes or whatever.
January 23rd, 2009 at 6:34 am
Great! I keep thinking I will get to see it continue! Hope it gets made! My kind of humour! “Grand canyon” mmm
January 23rd, 2009 at 8:16 am
Very interesting, I’d certainly like to see more. I hope you’re able to resume production on this someday.
January 23rd, 2009 at 7:43 pm
I’m intrigued. More please!
January 24th, 2009 at 8:48 am
I like this a lot. Really original, had me glued to it, more would be awesome!!
January 25th, 2009 at 10:18 am
That actually had me hooked. I’d not only watch it, I’d TiVO it and make my family watch it. An apocalyptic Gilligan’s Island, only funny and without the hot chicks.
January 26th, 2009 at 9:27 am
I really enjoyed that, I think that this could make a really entertaining and interesting show. I got a little BBC sitcom vibe from it. Witty and dark comedies like this can really shine if done right and absolutely fall flat if not. There were some awkward scenes in the pilot, but considering the nature of the production, it really speaks.
Notice I didn’t say ‘it could be a big hit’ because I don’t think this show has that kind of appeal, but it could do VERY well on a network like Sci-Fi or UPN. I would definitely watch it, the characters are likeable, well-cast and thought out. I think bringing the realism, humor and humanity to this scenario is funny and a little scary at the same time.
I think that you should at least shop this to some of the smaller networks. It’s a niche show, but a really GOOD niche.
Shoutout to Ze Frank! I’ve been waiting for his hilariously rubbery face to show up in Hollywood. The scrabble short on his website still makes me laugh so hard I cry every time I watch it.
January 26th, 2009 at 10:18 am
I loved this. I want to know what happened (although in my head I see a Grand Canyon full of dead bodies). If I had money I’d gladly give it to you to finish this, but alas I’m a poor working class stiff. But I’ll be passing this around as much as I can for support.
January 26th, 2009 at 7:29 pm
Sounds like a great concept to me. I just finished reading “The Road” too and it isn’t too hard to imagine.

This is so entertaining.
I’m a big fan of the new Survivors on BBC (see it if you can). But this takes the apocalypse to a different level.
Great luck on moving this project forward.

wow, this is an amazing comedy. If it were to be discovered by some big shot, im POSITIVE it would sell big right now with the economy in an uproar and 2012 comin up (hahaha, lazy myans).

Seriously I’d love to pre-order this series. If it was possible. And I think I could scramble up a few friends too who would too.

The comedy was excellent and the dramatic moments left me thirsty for more. The hints of what these characters know but aren’t telling makes for some great tension, which in turn makes the comedy funnier.
Not to overanalyze but I think this could be a serious hit.

That was really good – better than a lot of stuff that’s currently on TV. The writing and acting were very entertaining and the situation just unique enough you don’t guess what’s coming next. It doesn’t hurt that Ze Frank is in it :) I would definitely seek this out if it became a series.

I have been Jonesing for “the show” for months now! I keep watching re-runs! Ones like “how do you wash a giant baby?” “How do you work this thing?” “These Brooklyn Stairs.” LOVE them! LOVE THEM! I MISS THEM! MY kids MISS THEM! MY friends who just started watching miss them.
I MISS THE FREAKING SHOW DUDE!!! Please at least consider doing a once a month thang. Like you could just do a short Vid on your goofy little songs.
I love your goofy little songs… I make up goofy little songs all the time but they are no where near as cute and good as your goofy little songs!
[sigh] Ok… I’ve ask… that’s all you can do.
Peace out! Mat

Great original concept and casting. I am a huge Ze fan and his acting is everything I expected. Best of luck. This should be a huge hit.
