While you’re there, protest the fact that Shatner’s not in the next Star Trek

  2. BD says:

    I’ll be at WB.

  3. Doug says:

    John,

I’m with you, my friend. My heart and SAG card support the WGAs efforts to the fullest. Win one for the team.

  4. Michael says:

    John,

Good luck and hopefully this whole thing can be settled.

Be strong! Thanks for doing this! I’m honking my horn!

  6. Angela says:

Wear the ugliest, most comfortable shoes you have. Run out and get a pair of Crocs if you haven’t yet sacrificed style for comfort.

  7. Jeff says:

Good for you, John. Writers everywhere appreciate the sacrifices being made.

  8. Aaron says:

Doesn’t writing “ON STRIKE” on a sign violate the pencils down policy?

  9. Jonathan says:

John - when the strike ends (and assuming residual rates go up) will Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Go both be eligible for the higher residual rate even though they were produced during the ‘old’ contract period?

About

This site is run by screenwriter John August. Mostly, he answers reader-submitted questions about the craft, but occasionally he goes on tangents that run far afield of writing and filmmaking. You'll also find info on past, present and future projects.

Ask a Question

If you have a question about screenwriting or my movies that hasn't been answered, by all means ask. There are a few guidelines to follow.
