I am a personal manager/producer who is whole heartedly supporting the efforts of the WGA to fight for what they are rightfully entitled to. It has been to long in the interim. Prayers and success for a major victory are going out to all writers.

I’m curious if NBC.com’s advertisers - including Walgreens, Honda, HP, CareerBuilder.com, and MasterCard - are concerned about who is earning their dollars as millions of viewers enjoy streaming Office content. Doubtful. After all, they’re in the business of paid exposure. They pay. They’re exposed. NBC Universal’s inability to fairly allocate revenues should not create a negative halo effect for advertisers that produce these funds. However, it would be nice if the studios felt some heat from them. Then again, advertisers are a dime a dozen for such a lucrative website.

About

This site is run by screenwriter John August. Mostly, he answers reader-submitted questions about the craft, but occasionally he goes on tangents that run far afield of writing and filmmaking. You'll also find info on past, present and future projects.
