The individual immediately responsible for all aspects of physical production of a film. The line producer supervises the creation of the schedule and budget, oversees the employment of all crew members, and monitors the day-to-day spending of the film or show.

The line producer typically reports to the producer, and often earns a credit of co-producer or executive producer.
