This site is run by screenwriter John August. Mostly, he answers reader-submitted questions about the craft, but occasionally he goes on tangents that run far afield of writing and filmmaking. You'll also find info on past, present and future projects.

Variety is reporting that the DGA reached a deal with the AMPTP. What do you think about it?

Something ironic about the idea that you have to sell a feature screenplay or work on a television series for a given number of episodes before you will be allowed to load a van.
