MySQL tip #1: make sure you're using InnoDB tables instead of the default MyISAM. MyISAM is marginally faster but a lot less stable.

MySQL tip #2: Don't use MySQL. (I switched to Postgresql.)

I’m personally fond of “crashtastic,” and also possibly “crashtacular.” Really anything which helps drag the world down to my third grade reading level is an excellent option.

Dear John, I feel there is no reason, no reason at all, why a ballsy cinematic tastemaker such as yourself should not feel free to write the word "crashy," without an apostrophe, and challenge the whole world to deal with it.
