I think I would trade my residuals for the chance to sleep in past 6. I’m not saying it would be a good decision, but at the moment it would make sense.
That said, I have a sincere question:
What, exactly, do the studios offer the creative elements above and beyond distribution and a de-facto relationship with advertisers?

Geez, John. How long is this thing going to last? Here they’ve got you, Mr. Megabucks out there carrying sign at 6…am? Wow. I know I’m impressed.
