John, I talked to you @ your writing workshop at the Boulder Film Festival. I asked you a rather polemic question about high versus low concept in film. You might even have footage of me.. I believe we came to the conclusion that it is a difference in marketing techniques. I thought of a better question, for you but I welcome anyone to try it..

John—also the DVDs in Asia include the nice camera angle inlcuding multiple rear noggin views :-) They creat a nice in the theater feel to them!

GreeneStreet sells distribution rights to regional companies, so they would go to one of the Australian (or New Zealand) distributors, who in turn would put it into theaters (presumably), then handle the home video and television release. Ultimately, yes, The Nines will show up at Blockbuster, NetFlix, and wherever quality home video is found.

What's interesting is that the packaging and materials could vary a lot from country to country. Whenever I'm in Asia, I love to look for Charlie's Angels, because the local DVDs (or VCDs) use slightly different artwork. (And of course, have different dubbing/subtitles.)

All of this is handled by the regional distribtor.

GreeneStreet is responsible for the accounting. That is, making sure we actually get paid for every DVD sold in Mauritania.
