When I first heard about it I thought - how in the hell can someone faff with Gene Wilder?! but I did some nosing and found that the original film was a musical and this one isn't... It's an adaption of the original book with much more of the actual background behind Willy Wonka (Crazy guy!) and what happens with Charlie at the end.</p> <p>Please though, correct me if I'm wrong :o. I'm equally intrigued by the project - also think someone is blinkin' brave adapting a Roald Dahl book, thats one amazing children's writer.</p> <p>I did wonder why Tim Burton didn't plump for the twits though, much more gruesome n' gross - right up his dark little alley!
