Thanks again! You've just gotten a new regular reader!

Thank you so much for the above advice. It was so good I had to restrain myself from hugging my monitor! I am an editor by trade and a closet screenwriter, so it's a struggle for me to prevent myself from editing as I go - occupational hazzard. Your straightforward overview helps enormously and it's nice to hear a successful screenwriter like yourself still succumbs to self-criticism on the odd occasion. Truly inspiring. I can feel the linguistic vomit rising in my throat as I type.

Awesome post, seriously. It's like a light bulb went on in my head. What I loved most about your post is that it really simplifies the writing process that works for you and doesn't take a whole book. What's more you're not charging. You said it best when you stated,"BEWARE THE EASY, ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL ANSWER!" This is some of the best screenwriting advice I've ever read and I've read all the other "famous" screenwriting books. Thanks for your input and knowledge.

I found great truth in what Ms. Bendinger wrote, "Being attached on some level means I don’t believe I can generate more, or that things can only happen one way; and neither of those things is true. There is always more. There are always options and other ways of seeing things." This is very true in every aspect of design as well. If someone says your work is in left field and you need to redo it or adjust the "theme" more and you feel it's perfect and nothing else could be done to enhance the work then you've lost. You need to have 100% confidence in yourself be it design, writing, or whatever and know you can do even better if need be. Confidence and drive resounded in this piece and I wanted to thank Ms. Bendinger in taking the time to write this article and inspire those in need of it!
