I felt that Tim Burton's visuals sometimes pulled me out of the story, and felt too self-consciously "Burtonesque." I love Tim Burton's films, but this time around I wasn't all together thrilled by his interpretation of the story. It felt too episodic, which I know is a strange thing to say, since the final film is pretty close to the original script. I loved the final scene, though, when Will tells Edward the story of his death. It's exactly how I imagined it.
