The Problem of Multiple Screenwriters
On the first CHARLIE’S ANGELS, you came on after the original writers, and, though numerous writers worked on the script, you stayed on the whole time and were credited along with the first team (whose script, save for the opening scene, has no resemblance to the movie). On the second film you were the original writer, but another writing team came on after and shares screenplays credit. In the end, is it better to be the last writer on these types of projects?

JOHN:
That was the 1st time I’ve ever heard anyone say that they liked Charlie’s Angels 2. It was a pretty horrible movie but that had little to do with the screenwriting and a lot more to do with the director. The whole movie looked like it was overexposed and made an otherwise gorgeous cast look like they were all wearing fright masks. That being said, do you have any pre-concieved notions when you are hired to work on a sequel?

on’t give the screenwriters any ideas! there’s definitely room in the script for more “heroes.
though i love this show. i just started watching it, and i am hooked. i just hope that they don’t have a cliffhanger where MPD lady “quits the group because she pulls the LVAD wire on flying dude who then dies and then never-dies girl has to choose between two lovers. i hope they don’t have this cliffhanger and then 3 shows into next season MPD lady decides, “wait, nevermind. I don’t want to quit afterall, because i want to do a RUNNING WHIP STITCH ON A HEART! and never-dies girl decides to NOT choose between two lovers and oh wait, decides to go with the dude she was first going out with after all.
